Today is our 10th Anniversary. As usual my husband started the morning with a beautiful flower bouquet (that he hide in the garage, because I am very curious) and a romantic card. We usually go for a romantic dinner later however this year is very special because it is our 10th anniversary. We did a
I cannot believe that I have been married to Angel for only 10 years. It is too short time for all the things we have lived together. We have traveled so much and did so
many things that it felt like 20 years, hahaha!!! Someone asked me one day, what is the secret to keep a marriage in good shape? There are many ways to do it and each of them depend on you and him; however there are some ingredients that are always there: love, respect, communication and sharing.
Love is more than just said “I love you”. Love is a physical, mental, and emotional expression. I would say that sharing is inside love because when we love somebody we want to give him the best of us.
One day a friend told me that her husband was not romantic at all, and she was very frustrated because her life was empty of romance and quite depressing. I asked her what she likes or expect from a romantic event.
She said that she just wanted to enjoy being with him in a special place, loving each other like in the movies. Then I asked her “why this is not happening?” and she responded “because he is not romantic”. I told her that maybe he doesn’t know how to be romantic, but if he loves her then that is not supposed to be a problem at all. It was obvious that she knew what she wants and how to do it. So my advice was to enjoy her life and create those events herself, because at the end of the day both will enjoy the great moment…right? She likes the idea and she started planning romantic movie style events….and with that attitude in place, she started firing the romance in their life. One day her husband rented a room and decorated it with flowers, balloons and champagne. She was shocked because everything was so beautiful that she couldn’t believe that he thought and plan that romantic afternoon by himself. She asked him if he hired someone to do it and he replied that he did everything by himself…that he learned from her how wonderful is spending the time to love each other even more…

Don’t let good occasions to go away without celebrating the moment. Life is all about memories. It doesn’t matter who make it happens, the important thing is that both enjoy the moment. Just live every day to create a better marriage day!!!
