Acceptance is the first step to reconciliation

As I mentioned before you cannot find true happiness while you are carrying any hate in your heart. You may think you are happy right now, however, it may be a temporary sensation of satisfaction that suddenly goes away. We have to understand that happiness is not a state that we reach and it is ours forever. Happiness is a decision that we make and carry in our heart. That decision can happen every day many times. Happiness arrives to your life with the acceptance of who you are and the acceptance of the world as it is.

Fighting your emotions instead of accepting them can bring you suffering. Emotions are part of humanity and we must learn to deal with them peacefully and in harmony. We don't need to harm anyone or our self because we don't have what we want or because life is not what we were expected to be. We have to accept that we are today the result of all decisions made throughout the years; no one is responsible for you. Start accepting your responsibility. You are the result of your decisions, good or bad. Now, this doesn't mean that you must stop to live a productive life or do nothing because you accept who you are. At the contrary, once you accept who you are then you are opening the opportunity to review your current position and become someone else. Become the real you.

Always remember that everyday offers an opportunity to become a better you.

Now you may ask, what am i supposed to do with my emotions? I said don't fight your emotions; however, ignoring them won't help either. When we fight our emotions our suffering grows and affects everything we touch while we are fighting them. If we ignore them then we are suppressing our emotions and we are hiding them inside our body. We may look like nothing is happening and we are not affected from any situation, but in reality our emotions are accumulating inside until one day they become physical or psychosomatic illness. Do not suppress your emotions because they won't disappear…in this way.

God gave us a magnificent gift that we call the brain. Learn to use it in order to become a better person. Don't use it to create suffering or harm others. If you are currently unhappy then I invite you think about you. Have you suffered enough? Why are you suffering? Accept yourself as you are and the world as it is, and be happy under all circumstances as much as you can. Remember we are human and we are not perfect.

Sincerely,

Sandy
